Seminar Overview This two and one-half day Pasteurization Seminar has been presented in Texas for a number of years. Our seminar gives participants an overview of the concepts of pasteurization, equipment, fail-safe devices, functions and regulatory application, design and function as related to time, temperature and pressure.

Course Leader Al Votion, a Registered Sanitarian, attended St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas and spent the past 32 years performing regulatory work in the dairy industry.
Al was a Milk Rating Officer for the Texas Department of Health for 14 years before starting his own business. In that role, he inspected milk-processing plants throughout the State of Texas and was involved in all phases of implementing HTST processes. From 1987 to 1993, he served as Coordinator and Instructor for the Texas Department of Health's Basic Pasteurization Course, of which, over 1700 students have attended.
Al served on the Sanitarian's Committee for 3-A Standards and also served on the Methods of Making Sanitary Rating for Interstate Milk Shippers.
Votion Enterprises In January 1994, Al started his own company, Votion Enterprises, which provides scheduled pasteurization and controls seminars, consulting, evaluations, on-site group seminars, and in-plant employee training seminars. Bilingual.
